These essays came about from getting my Master of Metaphysical Sciences degree. The program had a nice mix of cerebral, emotional, and creative content. We had to use both linear and non-linear approaches to learning. One of my favorite lessons was how to receive inspiration from unseen worlds; I’d been doing this in my own way for a number of years, and this module gave me new tools. I used what I learned to produce a spiritually focused creative project, one of the graduation requirements. I collaborated with the creative realm, asked to be guided to the best project for me, and then I saw Timmy a few days later.
Timmy was my neighbor’s cat – he’s still around, but he and his human moved to another state. I was mesmerized by his actions and watched him for quite awhile. In my blissful trance, I heard what my creative project was to be. A voice whispered to write about how cats have been important teachers my entire life, so I did. You can read that essay here.
During this project, I realized how much fun it is to write about a subject dear to me. Writing is a way to connect with my heart; this form of creativity gets me into a happy and joyful state. I feel like I am on purpose, using the gifts Spirit entrusted me to manifest into physical expression. One of my jobs is to write the inspiration I hear from the ethers. If something I write touches another’s heart, that lets me know of a job well done. That I translated the message from the formless correctly. The formless is paradoxically that which forms bonds between us all. It helps us remember we are all part of the One. All of us are drops in the great ocean of Life.

And so these compositions began, in partnership with the formless realm. They are the result of me and the invisibles having conversations about things I was processing. My guides told me contemplating these ideas would help not only me, but also others I do not know. Others the formless knows quite well.
I agreed to play along and received each assignment one at a time. You know how when someone cooks with love, you can ‘taste’ the love in the food? Well, these essays were cooked with love. I was in a sublime and heart-filled space writing each one; even the somber parts. Especially those parts. Heart energy is woven into each piece, ready to enfold the reader should they allow it. If these essays call your heart, it would be an honor to share with you the words and messages contained within.
You won’t find too many details about each piece in their descriptions – I am not a proponent of previews. I find they disrupt the sequence of how best to experience something. However, divulging a few opening lines of each essay feels appropriate. You will find this snippet plus a very brief overview of each piece when you click on the titles below. Let yourself be surprised; journey with no expectation of where the story is going.
An example of my writing is my “She’s Not Broken” piece. A couple of the essays above are shorter than this composition, a couple are about the same length, and the “Five Minutes” one is a good deal longer than them all!
