What is a lady of leisure? First of all, that title can be claimed by all genders. Being a lady of leisure is so much more than whether or not you have a job; it is a state of mind and connection to your heart.
Opening words:
The first time I claimed this title was in my late twenties. I worked at a travel agency at a job I disliked, but it paid the bills. Upon returning from a couple of trips overseas, I realized the job did not suit me and knew I had to quit. I was not aware that I felt small and stuck before these trips, but experiencing the bigness of the world fundamentally changed me. Traveling away from your known world will do this to you – it gets you out of your head so you can see what is actually going on inside your head!
