All are quiet classes. They provide alternate ways to engage with your internal and external landscapes. The practices and perspectives given cultivate serenity, stillness and balance in your days. They create space for harmony and presence to enter. Using the tools can help your life path morph into more of a calm and scenic highway rather than a road with an overwhelming amount of bumps and potholes.
These courses speak of ways to summon relief and support into your life; they invite you to perceive the world with kinder and gentler eyes, ones which actively seek out beauty, grace, and tranquility in this loud and chaotic dimension. They create a space for you to take a pause in life and explore ways to engage with consciousness.
All flowery descriptions aside, what these courses teach are ways to be nice: how to be nice to yourself, nice to others, nice to your surroundings, and nice to your experiences.
When I was growing up, many would tell me I was such a nice person, and this never felt like a stellar compliment. It was so ordinary, so not exciting, so….”uncool” in the eyes of a child and young adult. Being cool seemed to be about being edgy, worldly in a jaded manner, and critical of others not as cool as you in order to keep the social pecking order. As an adult I now understand how juvenile this perspective is. When you are too edgy and hard, you prevent softness from enveloping your life – softness that is elegant, warm, loving, uplifting, and eternally connected to the unfettered dimension of the formless realm. Too much edginess creates barriers that block the softness of love from entering your awareness.
These classes give tools and create spaces to engage with softness and compassionate neutrality. Please keep in mind that being soft does not mean being a pushover; it is being firm in your commitment to yourself to not let the edginess of the world overcome the innate softness and kindness at your core. To meet softness, active engagement is required: engagement with yourself, others, consciousness, and your own unique life force. It is when you are engaged with yourself and life that you access the eternal now, a space where the essence of softness comes forth from to warm your days.
