CONNECT WITH ALL FOUR VOLUMES OF STORIES
VOLUME 1
This collection of tales takes place in a multitude of dimensions. I encounter both elven and faerie elements, take a stroll through past time San Francisco, am told to get in the game of life, and witness feminine freedom of yesteryear that was ahead of its time. The plant spirits invite you to dive in and submerse yourself in the stories they gifted me. Stories that speak of self-care, transformation, and trusting intuition. Let the plants and these tales guide you to new spaces in your mind and in your heart.
Herbal Allies: Agrimony, Albizia, American Ginseng, Ashwagandha, Astragalus, Avena, Black Cohosh, Burdock, Cat’s Claw, Chickweed, Cleavers, Codonopsis, Corydalis, Damiana, Echinacea
VOLUME 2
The herbal journeys continue. I enjoy all of my meditations, but I think about these particular ones more than the others. These experiences shifted my relationship to the plants – and to my spirit. They expanded my world and deepened my commitment to continuing our conversations. I met the herbal spirit that instructed me to pursue herbalism, one that chastised me, the two herbs that helped me trust what I was hearing in my exchanges with the plant devas was not just my imagination, the first herb to call me by name, and an herb that gave me a complete sensory experience. Plants spirits are very kind and supportive, and one of the final messages in this digital space is one of encouragement. “Everything is all right. It really is.”
Herbal Allies: Elder Flower, Eleuthero, Eyebright, Figwort, Fo-Ti, German Chamomile, Ginkgo, Gotu Kola, Guduchi, Hawthorn, Horsetail, Lemon Balm, Licorice, Linden, Marshmallow, Meadowsweet
VOLUME 3
The plants continue to inspire ways to connect with their energy. They tell stories about power, being critical, and savoring the many moments of life. Just like the other volumes, messages of support are present, as are suggestions that promote healing and balance. One herb told me there is no need to fear messes. Other herbs present stories of transformation: one through a natural progression of energy, another through hitting rock bottom. This collection of tales concludes with one that left me with a haunting impression of its consciousness, one that resurfaces whenever I work with it.
Herbal Allies: Mucuna, Mugwort, Mullein, Nettle, Oplopanax, Osha, Passionflower, Peach Bark, Peppermint, Raspberry, Red Clover, Red Peony, Reishi, Rhodiola, Rosemary
VOLUME 4
This last volume covers a bit of territory. We start our travels in the Old West, visit the Cloud Realm, head up to the hills above Los Angeles, and visit a few forests. The plants paint a picture of a beautiful mother-daughter relationship in one of the passages. In another, the plant spirit encourages us to go after our dreams – while insisting we give ourselves permission to do this rather than seek permission from others. Another herb states true healing is not for the faint of heart. Facing fears is discussed, as is the option of having comfort during this process. While the herbs are always there to support us, they also stress the importance of helping ourselves. And that all are guided by an internal voice, a voice that reminds each of us to look for signs that tell the next steps on our journeys.
Herbal Allies: Sarsaparilla, Saw Palmetto, Schizandra, Shatavari, Skullcap, Tulsi, Turmeric, Usnea, Verbena Hastada, White Peony, Willow, Yarrow, Yellow Dock
