ESSENCE ENCOUNTERS

The time spent interacting with herbs taught me expanded ways to connect with plants. It strengthened my ability to stay in trance for longer periods. This led me to have lengthier encounters. Just like herbal spirits, the flower devas are evolved beings with great wisdom. They reside in realms between realms and act as bridges between dimensions.

I have come to learn that flower devas love a good story, which I feel is one reason they offer their services to those on this planet. Essences facilitate stories; they show blocks that keep your personal narrative on pause. When they whisper guidance to facilitate your story, your resulting actions keep them intrigued. They remain on the edges of their seats, so to speak, waiting to see what you will do with their teachings. What kind of story will they get to witness? Will you go back through the same doors you’ve gone through in the past, hoping that your story will shift while you act and respond as you’ve always done? Or will you choose another door, one that pulls your heart and soul, but you know not what is beyond its threshold? Do you dare cross into the unknown?

Questions the essences might ask you are, “What warms your heart? What energy intrigued you as a child?” In layman’s terms, this gets translated into, “What did you want to be when you grew up?” Personally, I always disliked this question. I never had a societally appropriate answer like a teacher, firefighter, or nurse. I just longed to be immersed in quiet, calm, and joy – states kept at bay while I struggled with anxiety, feeling lost, and not feeling connected to the world (let alone my heart).

Somewhere along the way, I found the Bach Wild Oat flower remedy. (BTW, the Bach line calls their essences “remedies.” Saying it so you know they are indeed flower essences.) Per the Bach Centre, “Wild Oat is the remedy for people who feel they want to do something worthwhile with their lives but don’t know which direction to go. They tend to drift from one thing to another without finding a true path. They become frustrated and downcast as a result.”

I did not get immediate clarity on my life direction; but after a while, I noticed numerous energetic shifts had happened behind the scenes. This essence gently guided me onto a new trajectory. Its consciousness used my life circumstances to help me follow this road so I could discover part of my path is to provide service through story. It wasn’t straightforward like having a sudden epiphany, but was instead a beautiful winding road to reach this discovery.

The essence helped me understand on a core level that my path, like all other paths, will be revealed as I followed what called my heart. It would be shown one step at a time, all in appropriate timing, no matter how anxious I was to reach the finish line. It was a “life is a journey not the destination” teaching. My heart journey led me to herbal school, where I encountered many many plant and flower friends. And this is where I discovered that when I interact with these beautiful beings, I become immersed in quiet, calm, and joy.

The plants taught me that when I meditate with an intention to talk with them, I am able to meet their consciousness, their essence, in spaces between our dimensions. Each encounter cultivated my connection to the devas and added beauty to my life. In these meetings, they gave me stories, teachings, and experiences to facilitate my personal story. I eventually realized these encounters are also meant to facilitate other people’s stories.

Years after these narratives were complete, I heard guidance from the plant devas to offer the Herbal Interactions and Essence Encounters works to the public. The thought immediately intimidated my private and introverted self; but after feeling into it, I decided to walk through this brand new doorway to greet newness. I invite you to do the same here. If any of these volumes intrigue you, enter the portal with the intention that you will find what your being needs to know at this juncture. An example of what you will find in these encounters is below.

ST. JOHN’S WORT ESSENCE ENCOUNTER

LATIN NAME: Hypericum perforatum
COMMON NAME: St. John’s Wort

Rays of intense golden light beam down from the sky and form a circle around my meditation space. There is breathing within the circle. I am in the midst of a respiration process from whatever surrounds me. I do not see any of the breath but I sense it. It feels like I am floating in a gentle sea, with soft waves lifting me up and down slowly, as if rocking me into slumber. The energy is buffering, soothing, and protective. It mutes noise. As it continues, it lulls me into a pleasant, soft, and peaceful heart-centered calmness.

A harp plays quietly around the edges of this enclosed space. There are periodic indistinct whispers that get hushed quickly. I am in a very quiet library, with warm afternoon sunlight streaming in through the windows. The windows have stained glass shapes of triangles, squares, circles, and rectangles; all in varying shades of gold, silver, copper, and pink metallic colors. The sun’s rays go through them, creating exquisite reflections inside the library. They glisten. I hear they are portals inter-dimensional helpers use to connect with you; some of these helpers come from the light realms.

I hear louder voices speaking fast. The words fly around quickly; it sounds like a record being played at at least triple speed. I cannot distinguish individual words nor can I place where they come from as the sound waves seem to be bouncing all around me. The vibration feels high-pitched, tense, and taut. It is a bit anxiety producing – not calming at all!

My awareness is drawn to one of the reflective portals; a glowing orb emerges from a triangular doorway. It stops about ten feet away from me, grows to about two feet in diameter, and I see a being inside – they look outward as though the orb was a regular window. The being emerges; they come out like they were sitting on top of a fence with their legs inside the orb. They swing their feet over the “window ledge,” land in the earth dimension, and stand up to their full height. This being is very tall! Well over nine feet. They are genderless. The face looks like a painting as the features do not move. There is a gentle serene smile reminiscent of the Mona Lisa. They are dressed in garb similar to a Roman toga with a wreath of leaves around their head. The random indistinct voices are suddenly quiet.

The being starts to breathe slowly and deeply. Their eyes are now closed; the smile stays put. I wonder why the face is stationary and seems two-dimensional?

I hear the reply from both outside and inside my space. “Too much noise, too much stimulation, too fast, too jarring. Much happens behind the scenes to have such a constant countenance. The intricacies of our work would overwhelm the human infrastructure, so our work is cloaked. Fast-paced detailed work brings slow relief to us and to the entities (i.e. people) we work with. It is best to focus on the serenity, not the detailed actions. Accept this gift from us. Doing this work pleases us immensely, beyond what you can comprehend.”

This flower deva (St. John’s Wort) is a collective consciousness. I see the collective working with numerous small, silver, shiny, glistening, thin threads. Similar to how a past-time telephone operator would connect all the different telephone connections on the telephone board for numerous people to talk to each other; however, this flower’s operation is exponentially more massive. The work is very delicate, soft, lightning-quick, and with razor-sharp precision.

The high-pitched voices return and the collective takes action. They use a golden, gel-like liquid that flows fast but is under their absolute control. They pour it over frayed silver threads, concentrating on ends that are broken like split ends of hair. These ends look like dendrites, the ends of nerve cells. The gold gel goes over the damaged ends, coating them. This heals the split to make them one again, and then the voices cease.

The deva whispers the voices come from damaged nerve cells. These cells ask for assistance to bolster their structural integrity. The damage puts them in a state of discomfort, so they request that soothing, softness, and gentleness be infused into their field. Their field is contained within whomever’s body they occupy. Having the outer body (of the person who houses these cells) receive these undulations that wash over it – these waves of softness, kindness, gentleness, soothing, and quiet – these waves also touch the frayed/damaged nerves and help both the person and cells calm down and be quiet. They (the cells) do not prefer to talk in this manner (i.e. in loud, tense frequencies); they prefer quiet sounds, like in a library.

I hear, “Shhhhhhhhh” as well as the sound of deep, slow breathing. This type of breathing activates the golden liquid-gel. The breathing activates pulses of softness. The breathing from this plant spirit initiates a shift. A slow and gentle turning towards the breath.

“Shhhhhhh. Feel this slow and deep wave flow through you. Feel it in the base of your spine. Take a few long respiration cycles. ☀️ The next few breaths flow through your second chakra, the area around 2 inches below your navel. Pause a few moments before continuing. ☀️☀️ See a few breaths move gently through your solar plexus chakra, a couple of inches above the navel. ☀️☀️☀️ Shhhhhhh. We move slowly up the body to its center. Feel deep breaths filling your entire heart and chest cavity area. Focus on the calming vibration.

Feel the air move in and out of your body. ☀️ Allow a few breaths to caress your neck and throat, followed ever so slowly with waves of peace swirling around and through your third eye. ☀️☀️ They caress and massage your head, and kiss the top of each closed eyelid. Continue to breathe slowly.  ☀️☀️☀️ Finally, we arrive at the top of your head. Feel the breath stroke your crown softly. Keep on breathing, in and out, deeply and gently. Exhale slowly and completely.”

During this entire interaction, the very tall being sat in the portal, as if sitting on the ledge of an open window, They leaned back, with eyes closed. They knew if their presence came closer or their focus was on me, it would produce anxiety in my physical body. The being’s energy is extremely intense. However, they shield me from their intensity by keeping distance and keeping an indirect focus.

St. John’s Wort essence is here to assist you focus on a different frequency, one that is calming and quiet. Their immense presence filters out distracting, startling, and invasive noise. They put a wave barrier in your energetic space. The waves are some kind of frequency scrambler. Their frequency is fast but translates to slow and steady in the physical dimension, and this rolling calmness confuses and irritates fearful elements. It repulses these fearful elements because their energy signatures wish to match more frenetic frequencies. When the waves of St. John’s Wort essence reach you, they blunt and mute the chaotic noise. The vibration of the fearful energy begins to dissipate in this plant deva’s sea of breath.

The plant speaks quietly, but firmly, “Create your own sea of breath. Your water feature might look like a paltry puddle at first, but each deliberate and intentional slow breath adds droplets to this body of water. Over time and with intentional practice, your muting device grows bigger and stronger. Remember to breathe.”

The tall being goes back through the portal and becomes entwined with the inter-dimensional orb. The orb shrinks and exits through the light doorway – the portal created by the sun going through and activating the beautiful otherworldly window pane of glass.

I hear guidance to focus on my breath for a few moments. As I do this, a wide column of light shines down from above and fills my entire body. The sunlight stays for about thirty seconds before slowly fading from my awareness. I thank the plant for the very calming, almost sedating, experience. I sense a slow nod from the being wherever they are, acknowledging my sentiment. They transmit guidance to take my time coming out of meditation before slowly entering into the next part of my day.

Note: If this plant calls to you, and you wish to develop a relationship with it, St. John’s Wort flower essence is safe to use. It is vibrational medicine and does not impact physiology. This essence brings energetic light to people. It is indicated for those who suffer from nightmares, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), and/or negative thoughts.

However, the actual physical herb (in tincture, tea, etc.) is not appropriate for many people to take into their bodies. It is contraindicated for numerous medications. Please refrain from ingesting the actual herb unless you consult with a practicing herbalist and it is deemed safe for you.

Each volume is complete unto itself; each encounter has its own flavor and texture and is independent of other exchanges. At the end of the encounter with a specific deva (or series of encounters), there is a brief summary of the healing qualities I experienced working with that particular consciousness.

As I mentioned in the “Warm Words” description, these offerings are to be felt with your heart, not analyzed with your mind. Go within and ask yourself, “Which new doorway whispers to my heart?” And then take that first step through its opening in order to greet a new world.
